Pupils from Hetton School in Sunderland have made an anti-bullying DVD.
The students have spoken about their own experiences at the hand of bullies to help make things easier for other young people.
And now the group, Jordan Sadler, Connor Vaughan, Alicia Coxon, Declan Taylor, Lohais Ali, Daniel Alcock and Hailey Forster, has been nominated for a Young Achievers Award.
Pupils at a London school have promised to look after each other to beat bullying.
The youngsters, at Oldfield Primary School, Greenford, have been working on a friendship project and deciding when teasing goes too far.
Each class has been working on ways of being a good friend and has drawn up special posters in a Be a Buddy not a Bully project.
"This is a great idea," said Bullying UK CEO John Carnell. "Lots of bullying starts off in a small way and recognising that it can get out of hand is the first and most important step towards stopping it."
