We enforce our copyright for the following reasons:

• Bullying UK's award-winning website content represents eight years of hard work and has been professionally produced by a journalist with 34 years experience of daily newspapers and 14 years of research and campaigning in the field of school bullying. It isn't ethical or fair for someone to either copy or rewrite our content to take the credit for our work or to profit from it.
• Councils and other organisations which help themselves to our content don't have the expertise they need to carry out their anti-bullying work - which should be a source of concern to parents and those who are funding their anti-bullying work.
• We have found organisations applying for funding and entering for awards using our material to do so.
• Parents have been misled by our content used on other websites and in books written by 'instant experts' who have little knowledge of the subject and whose expertise is the ability to cut and paste the work of others for their own financial gain or kudos.
• Education law is constantly changing and material copied one month may be out of date the next. In some cases copied material from our website has been rewritten to include serious factual errors;
• On two occasions our content has been used by men luring children to their websites. When we have concerns about the motive behind copyright theft we always alert the police.
