Anti bullying week 2018

Get involved and help #stopbullying

Anti bullying Week 2018 is being held between the 12th and 16th November and is organised by Anti-Bullying Alliance. This year the theme is 'Choose Respect'. Follow the events on social media using #antibullyingweek and #abw18

As you know the effects of bullying can have a massive impact on all individuals, whether that is at school, work, college or socially. Anti bullying week is a great way to get involved, take a stand against bullying and raise awareness in your school, colllege or organisation. Bullying doesn't just affect children but adults too

We would like to get your school or workplace involved and help raise money for Bullying UK so that we can continue supporting people affected by bullying. Our target this year is £100,000 and we would welcome your support in helping us to achieve this. No matter how big or small, your donation and support makes a huge difference for those affected by bullying.

Wear Blue Day 2018

Wear blue and show your support for anti-bullying on 9 November 2018. We will be running our successful wear blue day for the third year and we are asking schools, organisations and individuals to wear blue and donate to Bullying UK. This can be anything from blue jeans, blue top or you could wear something out there and stand out for bullying. If you would like to be a part of the wear blue campaign, please register for updates and further information by clicking here. Help us make this Wear Blue Day the biggest yet!

Anti bullying week ideas for schools

Please feel free to use any of our anti-bullying week resources, which include downloadable posters, flash cards, debate activity, comic strips and problem pages to use in the classroom. We also have presentations, interactive anti-bullying videos, posters and more. For the younger crowd we have superhero masks that they can decorate. All of our resources are free of charge to download.

Anti bullying wristbands

We are selling wristbands too as these have proved popular the last couple of years. Wristbands are a great way to engage with the issues around bullying and raise awareness. Our wristbands are a great addition to a non-uniform day, bullying awareness day or a part of our wear blue day on Friday 9 November 2018.

Become a fundraising champion

We are looking for passionate Bullying UK champions who can fundraise for Bullying UK and become part of something big. Fundraising for us is rewarding and fun. You will feel a real sense of achievement for helping to improve the lives of people affected by bullying.

We have produced a great fundraising pack that includes ideas for ways you can raise money to support those experiencing bullying including an anti-bullying bake off, fun days, vlogs or even a quiz night. We’re sure that there’s something here for everyone, but you can always come up with your own fundraising idea too. If you are planning an event, please email us at

Connect with us

We would love to see your pictures of your Wear Blue Day, fundraising events or wearing our amazing wristbands, so please connect with us on social media using #wearblueday #stopbullying and visit us on Facebook and Twitter. For more information, email us

Bullying or banter?

We know that many young people like to watch videos of issues that affect them and the Pauline Quirke Academy have made us a video on bullying or banter and why it is important to make a noise about bullying.
